Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how YourBestFlight (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit yourbestflight.com or use our flight decision tools (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you look up a flight or search for options, we receive the details you enter — such as airline, flight number, dates, airports, party size, and whether you have checked bags. We do not ask for your name, and we do not sell tickets or process payments.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Service we automatically record technical and usage data, including:
- your IP address and an approximate location (city/region/country) derived from it;
- device and browser information (type, operating system, screen size, language, time zone);
- the pages and features you use, the requests you make and the results returned, timestamps, and performance data.
Cookies and local storage. We store small identifiers in your browser’s local storage — including a randomly generated visitor ID and session ID and your saved preferences — to keep the app working and to understand how the Service is used. These identifiers do not contain your name or contact details.
Marketing and campaign data. If you reach us by clicking an ad
or a link, we may receive campaign parameters (for example UTM tags and
advertising click identifiers such as Google’s gclid or Meta’s
fbclid) and the referring website, so we can measure which campaigns
bring visitors and how well they work.
How we use information
- to provide, operate, and improve the Service and its recommendations;
- to measure and optimize our marketing and advertising campaigns;
- to analyze usage trends and diagnose problems;
- to protect the Service against abuse, fraud, and security threats;
- to comply with legal obligations.
Advertising and analytics partners
We may use third-party analytics and advertising services (for example Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta) to understand traffic and measure campaigns. These providers may set their own cookies or receive data such as your IP address and the campaign identifiers described above, subject to their own privacy policies. You can opt out of common analytics and interest-based advertising at Google’s opt-out, aboutads.info, and youradchoices.com.
Affiliate links
Some outbound “book” and comparison links on the Service are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to make a booking, we may earn a commission from the travel partner — at no extra cost to you. This does not change how we rank or recommend flights: our recommendations are based on how likely an option is to get you there, never on whether a link earns us a commission.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers that host and run the Service (such as our cloud hosting provider) and the flight-data providers we query to answer your request;
- Analytics and advertising partners as described above;
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Data retention
We keep usage and request logs for as long as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to measure our campaigns, after which we delete or aggregate them. You can ask us to delete data associated with you (see below).
Your choices and rights
- You can clear cookies and local storage, or browse in private mode, to reset the identifiers stored on your device.
- You can use browser controls and signals such as Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control; we honor applicable opt-out signals where required.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
International users
We operate the Service from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries with different data-protection laws.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
